The Restaurant & Kitchen

 

The food at Glebe House is heavily inspired by the country cooking of Italy and France. We have a particular interest in artisan techniques, with a strong focus on nose-to-tail cookery and seasonality. Our dining options are available to both house guests and non-residents.

2-Course Kitchen Supper (House guests only) - Monday to Tuesday - £35 per person

For a relaxed and hearty dining experience, try our “kitchen supper” option. Includes a generous main course to share, such as a delicious pie or whole roasted fish, followed by pudding. Seasonal sides, likely from our garden, are included. Pre-ordering is required, as everything is freshly prepared each week.

3-Course Kitchen Supper (House guests only) - Wednesday to Saturday - £45 per person

Our midweek-to-weekend supper includes all the offerings of the 2-course meal, plus an added antipasti course. Enjoy a selection of small plates to have with our bread and butter, often featuring our homemade salumi.

Glebe House Dinner - Thursday to Saturday - £69 per person

A regularly changing, fixed menu; composed of six courses and delicious extras. Designed according to the season’s bounty and highlighting the exceptional meat, fish and poultry we have on our immediate doorstep.

Saturday lunch - £39 per person. A slightly lighter offering, consisting of three courses; Antipasti, Pasta and Pudding.

Sunday lunch - £49 per person. A similar format to the Glebe House Dinner consisting of four courses, but a more relaxed and paired back affair.

We also offer delicious alternatives for vegetarians, vegan and other dietary requirements, intolerances and allergies.

Important: We highly recommend booking a table at room booking stage as we cannot always guarantee a table on restaurant nights.

Celebrate the festive season with us! We have several dates available for Christmas parties from late November up to Christmas.

Picnics - Thursday to Sunday

We encourage house guests to go and get lost in the beautiful Devon countryside with a well-crafted picnic on their back. Take a bottle of wine and a perfectly packaged picnic and find a spot you can call your own for the day. Expect a delicious selection or larder provisions all made in-house. Pre-order at least 48hrs in advance to allow us to prepare your picnic. The price is £20 per person, and drinks are charged separately.

Sunday evening snacks

The kitchen is closed on Sunday evening but we offer evening snacks - a selection of home made goods from the larder, sourdough bread, cheese, house charcuterie and pickles, which will be laid out on the kitchen table for you to help yourselves for £15 per person.

Breakfast

Breakfast is included in the room rate and is served between 8am and 10am. Baked goods straight from the oven, bread, butter, seasonal compotes, jams, yoghurt and granola are all homemade. Please put your order in with the chef for any hot items that might be on offer that day. We do eggs one way, that is directly onto the aga hot plate and baked to desired runniness.
