Art retreat weekend with Luke Adam Hawker 12-14th July
A weekend retreat with artist and Sunday Times Bestselling author Luke Adam Hawker. Join us for this very special weekend of plein air and life drawing experiences immersed in nature with nourishing food from the Glebe House kitchen.
Friday 12th July - Arrival
The weekend will start with a big table dinner on Friday night so we can all get to know each other a little better before a good night's sleep.
Saturday 13th July
We will set off into the enchanting woods of Blackbury Camp for an Al Fresco breakfast. In the woods, Luke will host a drawing workshop focused on his favourite subject, ancient trees. This workshop will be about embracing our own artistic voice.
We will then head back to Glebe House for lunch in the gardens, followed by an afternoon free-range drawing session around the 15 acres of grounds and the house itself. This is exactly how it sounds: a relaxed drawing session where Luke and his assistant Laura will be on hand to give direct tips, as well as generally enjoy each other’s company.
For the evening we have planned a cosy life drawing session the Glebe sitting room. Here we will all focus on the joy of drawing the human form in all its beauty. This is not about the final drawing but instead helping us reach a state of creative ease. After the session, we will all move into the dining room to enjoy the Glebe House Dinner.
